Viking Malt has joined a 5-year initiative on crop rotation last fall. We recently got the opportunity to see field trials organized by the main research partner, Natural Resources Institute Finland, at Jokioinen.
Crop rotation trials included spring and winter cereals, oil crops, legumes, and other seed crops. These trials will give information about the effect of crop rotation on yields, soil fertility, carbon sequestration, plant pests occurrence, and nitrogen use.
