Today Viking Malt product portfolio contains also malt extracts, produced by Senson. Very popular products are the Gluten Free Malt Extracts, which are containing less than 20 ppm gluten. In terms of color or taste, there is no difference between gluten free malt extracts and traditional malt extracts.
Gluten free malt extracts are typically used to enhance the flavor, color and structure in gluten free foods, such as bakery products, beverages, breakfast cereals and snacks. Gluten free malt extracts have similar nutritional and technological performance as regular malt extracts, only the gluten is removed.
Currently we provide two different gluten free malt extracts:
Senson Gluten Free Liquid Malt Light 10, gluten free barley malt extract with light color
Senson Gluten Free Liquid Malt Black 800, gluten free barley malt extract with dark color
Extracts are clean label and produced according to high quality, food safety, environmental and ethical standards. Each batch of gluten free malt extract is analyzed at packaging stage to verify the gluten free status.
