The past two weeks has seen numerous crop tours in both Denmark and Sweden.
We attended for both the DAKOFO and Skovs Korn tours, which were well attended by many stakeholders in the supply chain from across Europe.
The tours focused looking at the malting barley crop in Skane region in South Sweden before moving across onto Zealand in Denmark and then finally onto the southern islands of Lolland & Falster. Crop and market updates were also provided by the key grain players in both of these regions.
Overall the harvest in these regions has progressed quickly in the last 10 days with fine weather, despite the late sowing of crop 2024, yields look to be better than expected and nice quality with proteins being on the lower end of the spec as the situation stands today.
