Christian Tallskog and Karl Stokes have strengthened our Sourcing Team: Christian was appointed Senior Sourcing Manager at Viking Malt Oy at the beginning of March 2022 and Karl has joined Viking Malt A/S as Senior Sourcing Manager in April 2022.
Christian Tallskog joined us from Avena Nordic Grain Oy, where he has worked with grain trade and procurement for more than seven years. He was responsible for Avena’s international grain and feed raw material trade. Previously, from 2006 to 2015, he worked at Raisio as Purchasing Manager.
Christian has been working in the grain processing industry since 1996. He has a broad experience in grain sourcing, both locally and internationally. In addition, he has a solid background in the food industry, production, and supply chain management. He holds an Agrology degree from the year 1995.
As Senior Sourcing Manager, Christian will be primarily responsible for the local sourcing of raw materials in Lahti. In addition to grain procurement, a significant part of his work will be related to achieving Viking Malt’s CSR targets in the future.
Karl Stokes has been appointed for the position of Senior Sourcing Manager, responsible for sourcing raw materials in Sweden and Denmark. He will also support group-level processes and projects supporting both the sourcing function and our CSR agenda.
Previously, Karl held the Sourcing and Sales Manager position in Soufflet Malt in the UK. Before this position, he worked as a private entrepreneur and Commerical Account Manager for Gapuma (UK) Limited, in a role that involved driving forward new business ventures in malt products and oleochemicals. He has also worked for Boortmalt, engaging with both commercial and procurement teams.
Karl holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, UK.
